Congrats to the class of 2009! Good luck to all of those either heading off to college or heading off into the real world – be sure to come back and visit TFBC – and keep playing your instrument, of course! Just because you aren’t in school doesn’t mean you stop playing music.

You can now search on transcripts! I finished moving all of the transcripts over from OhNoRobot, and so they are now integrated in the site. The search box is in the right hand column.

In the meantime, thanks for all of the well-wishes regarding my husband’s employment status. Hopefully something will come through soon, but with the current economy, things are pretty slow.
I’m a little bummed out ’cause my husband was laid off from his job yesterday. I won’t go into all of our personal details, but it does put us in a tight spot due to our recent adoption and just the fact that we have another baby. Hopefully he’ll be employed soon, so please send us any good thoughts and prayers our way.

I got everything on the computer back up and running, and turns out there is one widescreen resolution with this graphics card and monitor. It’s OK for now, but I will eventually buy a better graphics card. Hopefully it’ll go smoothly and I won’t have to reinstall everything again. Thanks to everyone who wrote in with suggestions and advice.Â

Hey, look, I saved up enough money for a while to buy a new widescreen monitor so that I don’t have to struggle trying to do graphics stuff (like TFBC!) with my itty bitty monitor from 2002! No problem, I upgraded my motherboard two years ago so it should be able to recognize and handle this widescreen monitor… WRONG!
Argh – I ended up having to reinstall Windows all day today and other applications all day trying to get my computer/graphics card/motherboard to recognize my new monitor and then get it configured to a widescreen resolution. Turns out I could do neither, but I still wasted a ton of time. Probably at this point, I’m going to have to get a new graphics card. Durnit, was so looking forward to this new monitor. :-\
Anyway, I’m still reinstalling stuff (luckily I didn’t lose any data), so there won’t be a comic this week. :p
Other than that, hope everyone has a great Easter holiday!
