If you’re on Facebook, be sure to add TFBC as a fan page! The page will automatically import news from the website along with some other stuff. It’s pretty bare right now, but hopefully I can add some things. So help spread the word about TFBC!

Hey – a new comic!!! Now that it’s the new year, of course one of my resolutions was to get back on track with TFBC. I’ll be changing the update day to Wednesdays though due to my schedule. There won’t be a comic this Wednesday (Jan 28th), so this new schedule will start the first week in February.
And since it’s officially Super Bowl week, here’s one of my favorite Super Bowl commercials from last year:

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and holiday season – and of course, a happy new year! There won’t be a comic this week, but I hope to get back to somewhat of a normal schedule next week.
Thanks again for your patience! I’ll be doing some work on the website in addition to new comics (as sleep and time allow).
And Anna, our second child, is now home! She is the best Christmas present of all!
I was recently able to lower the price of the TFBC book, so if you are thinking about picking one up from Lulu.com or online (Amazon, etc), then that lowered price should start to show up. It’s now $14.99 rather than $17.99.
Autographed copies are still available, but I’m going to have to put a hold on them until I get back from our adoption travels. I am not sure when I’ll return, but I’ll put up a note when I do, and I’ll put the info back up about how to order them.
Yes! This week’s comic is dedicated to the guy I stood next to at UGA alumni band’s homecoming performance. I forgot his name, but we had a very funny conversation about it’s very humbling thinking back to your time in band and having a hard time reading the homecoming field charts, because, dammit, we’re old now!!!
If you are keeping up with what’s been going on in my life, we are still awaiting the birth of our next child, so comic updates might be here and there depending on what’s going on. Hopefully she’ll be born next week, so please keep all of us in your thoughts and prayers!

I really thought I was going to be able to create another comic for this week, but it’s just not going to happen. The problem is that I have to have about two and a half hours of uninterrupted time to create the comics from start to finish, and I just don’t get that anymore. Heck, I don’t think I even get 10 minutes of uninterrupted time anymore!! :-O I’ve tried to work it so that I do a little bit at a time, but that is not conducive to the way I draw and my creative process. It makes things worse in fact.
So… to be really honest, I’m not sure when I’m going to have a new comic up. I know I won’t be able to this Friday due to my schedule. I would just be sure to sign up for the newsletter so that you’ll get an email when I do update the website.
In the meantime, thanks for your patience!
So you might be asking, “When is there going to be another TFBC comic??” I plan on putting one up on Sunday sometime, and I’ll send out another update when I do. I’ve got tons of stuff going on like traveling to Georgia football games on the weekends and… adopting another child! Hopefully! I’ll keep ya updated whenever she arrives!
In the meantime, the TFBC Store has been fixed. Buy some stuff so that I can buy the new baby some shoes!
Yea, two weeks in a row! A new record!
There’s a slight issue with the TFBC Merchandise store. The products aren’t displaying in order as they should be, but hopefully this will be corrected soon. You can still order stuff from the store, but it might take you a little longer to find what you are looking for! Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks again for your support.
ESPN and Paramount Pictures are hosting a “Battle of the Bands” during September and October to promote the release of Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull on DVD. Each participating band will be featured on ESPN’s website starting on September 29th. The winning band will receive a $25,000 donation from Paramount and Lucasfilm Ltd. Personally, I think you should go and vote for the UGA Redcoat Band.
I’d also like to extend my belated condolences to the members of the Gardner-Webb Marching Band who lost their band director, Sid Haton, earlier this month. Sid was one of our graduate assistants during my time in the UGA Redcoat Band. Sid was a very talented musician, and he will be missed by many.
I wasn’t able to upload a comic last week as you probably noticed. My schedule will probably be a little sporadic here and there for the next couple of months, but I will make sure to post an update in the blog section anytime the comic is updated. You can get on the mailing list by going to the front page of TFBC, scroll about halfway down, and enter your email address in the Newsletter section.

Yea, there’s a new comic!
I forgot to mention last week that I noticed the contact/feedback form wasn’t working. My webhost disabled the script at some point, so I have no idea how long it had been down. Anyway, it’s working now. Sorry for the inconvenience!
And here’s a very cute video – thanks to fluttietuttie on the forums for posting it!
