The comic won’t be updated weekly anymore (I guess you figured that out with the lack of updates recently), so I need to streamline some things so that it’s more of an archive than a end all, be all of band like it used to be.

I’m doing away with the Links page and the Forum. It’s still there, but I’m not managing it anymore, and eventually I’ll delete it. With the advent of Facebook, Twitter, and blogs, I think the popularity of online message boards has faded. I most likely won’t be updating the blog as much anymore unless there’s some major website news.

However….if you’re not already following me on Twitter or Facebook, join up! I usually post music-related links and pictures that I come across, so don’t miss out on more timely updates there!

I’m just not able to do it all at once. For one thing, I’m hoping to straighten out the funkiness with the menu. Or at this rate, I might just design my own menu anyway.

I have some comic ideas lined up, but I am hoping to get the kinks straightened out with this site design first.

Although she was 97 and had advanced dementia and this was a different situation than my mother’s, it still dredged up a lot of memories and raw grief that I am still feeling about the loss of my mom. I’m tired of funerals. :(

Anyway, my plans are to completely recreate the theme of the site, so there may be some downtime while I’m getting this back up and running. I probably won’t have any new comics while I’m getting this done, but I do plan on at least sketching and posting those just to get me back into drawing and into the swing of things. I haven’t even really drawn or sketched much the past year to be honest.

And here’s a cool story about a flute made on a 3D printer that I found quite some time ago but never posted. I think a YouTube video is making its way around Facebook right now about this, but here’s the original story.

While I am getting the website back on track (and the comics back as well), I’m going to start posting music and band related links or videos (aka STUFF) that I find interesting. Hopefully you will find them interesting (or funny!). I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now and just kept forgetting or putting it off. Unfortunately, they haven’t. My mother lost her battle with leukemia on February 26th, so needless to say I have been busy with other things, not to mention grieving. I really, really, really miss my mom. :(

Once again I’m hoping to piece things back together and get some new stuff rebuilt and back on the website.

I won’t go into details, but needless to say, 2010 was not the greatest year on a personal note. My intent at this time is to revive the website, but it will take a little work behind the scenes when it comes to upgrading WordPress and Comicpress (the CMS this site runs on).
